Yahoo! Site Builder Needed for MAC!. Like Kawika I, too, switched to an Apple computer. I love Site Builder and dread the switching/hosting process. Is there any way to make a Site Builder or Site Solution for Apple users?? Thanks!
Yahoo sitebuilder. I love the Yahoo! SiteBuilder application but unfortunately since I switched to MAC, I cannot use it. Please create a Yahoo SiteBuilder application for MAC users..
I have a site hosted through Yahoo and built by SiteBuilder. I have a site hosted through Yahoo and built by SiteBuilder. This was however, developed via a PC (Windows) and I now have a Mac.Is there anyway I can adjust my website using a Mac as most of the dialouges say that it's only Windows compatible?Any help is appreciated. Cons: Not for Mac?
A Possible Fix for SiteBuilder serious error message. I think the previous reviewer did a very good job reviewing SiteBuilder, so I will not duplicate them here. I found the review after getting the "Yahoo SiteBuilder has recovered from a serious error" message whenever I tried to edit anything with it. Yahoo was (as usual) no help, so here is what I did:I went into the Yahoo SiteBuilder Program files in my C:/ Drive, and copied my site's file to my desktop (just in case). Then I uninstalled every bit of Java from my computer, including the multiple updates. Then I uninstalled Yahoo SiteBuilder, and restarted my computer. I went to Java's site and downloaded the newest version of Java. Then I installed SiteBuilder. I don't know if there was a conflict with the multiple versions of Java updates or what, but this worked like a charm, and SiteBuilder (so far) is working perfectly. Pros: Easy to use for those who don't speak HTML very well. Cons: Yahoo support for this product is less than stellar. There should be a forum where users can at least talk to each other for troubleshooting.
Latest Sitebuilder version 2.6J is a BUST!!!. How do I get my old version back?? I faithfully upgraded my older version of Sitebuilder, which was dependable and always worked beautifully. This new version (2.6J) is so problematic, I could spit. I tried calling Tech Support to to solve the issues, and like so many other "Tech Support" experiences with other companies, Yahoo has now joined the legions of NON SUPPORT support. I have built many sites using the older versions, used a lot of the provided images and backgrounds. Now with the new version, many of those images and backgrounds are no longer available. Even more frustrating, when I try to insert images or backgrounds, I get some goofy message : "Yahoo! SiteBuilder has just recovered from a serious error. You can help Yahoo! fix this problem by sending us a report of the error." I have sent numerous reports, but the problem still persists. When I tried to re-install, I got another goofy Java error: "You have exceeded the recommended amount of disk space for JNLP Applications and Resources in your cache." . . .In the past, these upgrades were seamless, fast and I could rely on all my sites remaining as I had originally created them, and the new upgrade performed as elegantly as the other versions. Whoever is the author of V2.6J should be hung!! Pros: NONE Cons: Slower, not dependable, error messages, image library has disappeared. I'm sure there are other problems but I am too frustrated to find them all.
